PROJECT #3. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY BENEFITS. DEADLINE: before June 2015.
- Introduction: during this project you are going to learn about the short and long term benefits of physical activity.
- Task: you must make a POSTER (like a collage) describing the different effects of physical activity. Match different images or real pictures with the effects you are going to find on this page (I'll show you the link later on).
- Final Product: POSTER. We will choose the best one within the class.
- Resources: go to the following link, BENEFITS OF EXERCISE AND FITNESS.
- Working Groups: INDIVIDUALLY.
- Specific Requirements: write the resources and BIBLIOGRAPHY used.
PROJECT #2. BODY POSTURE. DEADLINE:
- Introduction: we can define body posture as the position of our body or body parts. It is really important because most of our anatomical pathologies are due to unhealthy body postures, either standing, seated or even when we are lying down.
- Task: assess someone's body posture in different positions (seated, standing, carrying a back pack, lying down). Describe the alignment of the most important joints and suggest improvement needs
- Final Product: essay.
- Resources: use the videos, presentations and links on the following website.

PROJECT #1 ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY. DEADLINE: December 1-3, 2014
Using any format you wish (video, pictures with titles, memory wall, interview, etc..), explain and write about the following topics:
- Joints: types, most important ones names, functions.
- Human body movements. Biomechanics principles.
- Types of Muscles (you can use the video about Marathoners and sprinters).
- Do the “Heart Rate Activity”. Download the file and answer the questions after doing the activities suggested.
- Resources: ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY.
